Oryx offers Corporate Services to international companies it represents wishing to pursue business opportunities in Qatar utilizing the provisions of the New Investment Law or require specialised solutions such as SPV as part of Oryx’s Corporate Services.

These services include assistance in:

• Obtaining Customs duty exemptions
• Obtaining Environment clearances

In certain instances, Oryx can play the role of a local partner and establish corporate entities that act as SPV’s for conveyance of specific projects.

New Investment Law
The Investment Laws of Qatar allow up to 49% foreign ownership in business activities in Qatar with the exception of banking, insurance, commercial agency and real estate trading sectors. The foreign ownership can, however, be increased to 100% in certain designated sectors with the approval of the Minister of Economy and Commerce upon the project meeting certain requirements.

The Investment Law also provides for a number of incentives in terms of allocation of land, tax holiday, waiver of customs duty on imports and free remittance of profits and other income.
