Qatar has thus far engaged in the establishment of basic industries utilizing its abundant hydrocarbon resources either as feed stock or fuel. The country will soon witness the establishment of the next generation of industries utilizing the processed building blocks produced by the basic industries. In addition to the above, this industrial development is likely to give rise to a number of auxiliary and ancillary industries utilizing by-products or co-streams or alternatively meeting specific plant requirements.

This development is being driven and supported by the Qatari Government wishing the private local industry participating in investing in these developments.

Oryx is in the process of identifying such opportunities and will promote such auxiliary and ancillary industries in joint venture with foreign collaborators.
